1. नदी का किनारों से कुछ कहते हुए बह जाने पर गुलाब क्या सोच रहा है? इससे संबंधित पंक्तियों को लिखिए।
उत्तर:- तट पर गुलाब सोचता
“देते स्वर यदि मुझे विधाता,
अपने पतझर के सपनों का
मैं भी जग को गीत सुनाता"
2. जब शुक गाता है, तो शुकी के हृदय पर क्या प्रभाव पड़ता है?
उत्तर:- शुंक जब अपने खुशी को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए गीत गाता है तो उसका स्वर पूरे वन में गूँज उठता है। शुकी का मन भी उस समय गाने के लिए करता है परन्तु वह अपने वात्सल्य के कारण मौन रह जाती है। शुकी के पंख ख़ुशी से फूल उठते हैं और वह इस मौन में भी अत्यधिक प्रसन्न हो उठती है।
3. प्रेमी जब गीत गाता है, तब प्रेमिका की क्या इच्छा होती है?
उत्तर:- प्रेमी जब साँझ के समय गीत गाता है तब उसकी प्रेमिका उसके गीत को सुनने के लिए घर से बाहर निकल पड़ती है और नीम के पेड़ के पीछे छिपकर अपने प्रेमी का मधुर गीत सुनने लगती है। उस समय प्रेमिका की इच्छा होती है कि काश वह भी इस गीत की पंक्ति बन जाती।
4. प्रथम छंद में वर्णित प्रकृति-चित्रण को लिखिए।
उत्तर:- प्रथम छंद में कवि ने प्रकृति का सजीव चित्रण किया है। प्रथम छंद में नदी अपने वेग से बहती मानो किनारों से अपने दुःख को अभिव्यक्त करते बही जा रही है और वही पर तट पर खड़ा गुलाब का पौधा है जो मौन खड़ा है।
5. प्रकृति के साथ पशु-पक्षियों के सम्बन्ध की व्याख्या कीजिए।
उत्तर:- प्रकृति के साथ पशु-पक्षियों का बड़ा गहरा सम्बन्ध है। पशु-पक्षी अपने भोजन और आवास के लिए प्रकृति पर ही निर्भर करते हैं, प्रकृति पर उनका जीवन निर्भर है। उनके सारे क्रिया-कलाप प्रकृति से ही जुड़े हुए होते हैं। प्रकृति की सुंदरता पशु-पक्षियों को भी गाने, गुनगुनाने और चहचहाने के लिए प्रैरित कर देती है। इसी प्रकृति के साथ पशु-पक्षी आपसी सम्बन्धों को आगे ले जाते हुए एक दूसरे के प्रेम में खो जाते हैं।
6. मनुष्य को प्रकृति किस रूप में आंदोलित करती है? अपने शब्दों में लिखिए।
उत्तर:- मनुष्य को प्रकृति अनेक रूपों में आंदोलित करती है। प्रकृति का मोहक रूप उसे गाने के लिए विवश कर देता है। शाम की मोहक अदा प्रेमी को प्रेम-गीत गाने के लिए मजबूर तो प्रेमिका को उसके घर से बाहर निकलने के लिए मजबूर कर देती है।
7. सभी कुछ गीत, अगीत कुछ नहीं होता। कुछ अगीत भी होता है क्या? स्पष्ट कीजिए।
उत्तर:- गीत-अगीत का सम्बन्ध मन में उठनेवाले भावों से होता है। जब मन के उमड़नेवाले भावों को स्वर मिल जाते है तो वह गीत बन जाता है और जब भावनाओं को स्वर नहीं मिल पाते वह अगीत कहलाता है। अगीत को भले ही अभिव्यक्ति का अवसर न मिले परन्तु उसके अस्तित्व को नकारा नहीं जा सकता है।अभिव्यक्त न होते हुए भी वह अपने-आप में पूर्ण है इसलिए कवि ने कहा है कि कुछ अगीत भी होता है।
श. 'गीत-अगीत' के केन्द्रीय भाव को लिखिए।
उत्तर:- प्रस्तुत कविता का केंद्रीय भाव यह है कि अभिव्यक्त न होनेवाले अगीत का भी अपना ही अलग महत्त्व है। अपने मन के भावों को मन ही मन व्यक्त करना भी कम सुन्दर नहीं होता है। भले हम उसे सुन नहीं पाते परन्तु उसे अनुभव तो कर ही सकते हैं। अत: मुखरित होनेवाला गीत और अमुखरित होनेवाला गीत दोनों ही सुन्दर है।
